About Dr. Jameel

Dr. Jameel moved from Baltimore to Long Grove with his family two years ago.  He has two boys who attend Stevenson High School and a daughter at Fremont Middle School.  Dr. Jameel came here because he found Long Grove to be the ideal place for my family. 

Dr. Jameel received an MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) degree from Deccan College of Medical Sciences.  

Dr. Jameel completed his residency at Louisiana State University and currently works at North Shore Health Network as an urgent care physician tending to patients who have been diagnosed with

Covid-19

Dr. Jameel has been published on several topics, including most recently, on whether or not risk-assessment surveys were effective in determining who should be tested for Covid-19, or not.

Aside from his medical work, Dr. Jameel has dedicated himself to giving back to the communities he serves. He is a volunteer for the Christian not-for-profit, Feed My Starving Children, which serves of 2.8 billion children worldwide by delivering supplemental food to children in an effort to address malnourishment. 

 

He also serves on the Board of Directors for ZAM's Hope Community Resource Center in Chicago. There Dr. Jameel helped to raise funds that go to aiding individuals affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

For recreation, Dr. Jameel enjoys playing volleyball, table tennis, and traveling with his family.  During baseball season, you'll find him cheering on the Cubs and "Bearing down" during football season.
